Come and meet the artists in their studios!
Coming up on Saturday 11th May @ La Catedral Studios and the Back Loft! VISIT Open Studios and the second coming of Feel Free to Jam, where musicians are invited to bring their instruments and jam around our piano at the back Loft. Lunchtime gourmet food and sangria will be prepared by staff member Dylan and will be served throughout the day. Our quaint little Cafe will be open and the Back Loft will showcase art work by the studio artists.
12-6pm (and maybe later) It promises to be a great day!
Visit
2013 is a weekend event which will see artist’s studios organisations
all over Dublin city opening their doors to the public. Artists make
their artworks in buildings that are scattered throughout the city, and
Visit 2013 invites you to enter these usually private spaces, talk to
the artists and see their work first hand.
In
Dublin City, artist’s studios old and new exist in a variety of
buildings including industrial warehouses, Georgian buildings, converted
stables and former shop units. You might not be aware that the building
on the corner or down the road from your house is actually a hub of
artistic activity. If you have ever been curious about what goes on
inside an artists studios, Visit 2013 is your chance to find out!
