Tue 25th May 7pm – 9pm:

An Evening with "The Writing Workshop":

"The Writing Workshop" is a Dublin based open hub for writers and artists to explore text. The Workshop is catalysed by a shared desire to explore the expansive & pervasive possibilities of text & words, particularly through transdisciplinary arts practices.


Wed 26th May 7pm–10pm:

Thisisnotashop Performance & Film

An evening consisting of several live performances and also a performative 8mm film screening "For one, for all".


Thur 27th May 6.30-9.30 pm:

Everything is ‘Up’ CLOSING reception,

Featuring a live performance by Marta Fernandez Calvo.

To mark the finish of this incredible journey TINAS celebrates with a "Closing" rather than an "Opening". So please come along for a toast to Everything is ‘Up’ and the wonderful artists of thisisnotashop!

Everything is Up’, kindly sponsored by Culture Ireland, is returning from London's TATE MODERN where Thisisnotashop had the privilege of being the only Irish initiative to be included in the Tate's 10 year celebration exhibition ‘No Soul for Sale’, a festival celebrating alternative art featuring 70 independent art organizations from around the world.

Thisisnotashop is an independent not-for-profit arts organization committed to supporting emerging contemporary artists from both Ireland and abroad.

THE MOVEMENT EXCHANGE





Free Movement Exchange Physical Theatre Workshop
11:00 - 15:00, 8th May 2010

The Movement Exchange with the support of The Back Loft is glad to announce its first movement workshop. This workshop will be facilitated by Serena Brabazon and Jaimie Carswell and will consist of 3 parts: a "Movement Class" focusing on the body and the body in space; a basic "Acrobatics" class focusing on stretching and balance; and an "Improvisation" class focusing on the importance of play. The workshop aims to explore the theme of the "Natural Body" on stage. It also aims to be a lot of fun, and is open to all performers, writers, and directors from any level of experience and any background in theatre.

Anyone interested should RSVP as spaces are limited. Please note the workshop will start promptly at 11 sharp. Please be sure to bring comfortable clothes and expect to sweat.

LIBERTANGO DUBLIN is a new tango informal event in Dublin hosted in the timeless setting of the Back Loft, a quirky art space located at the heart of the Liberties. Libertango offers an audience a relaxed approach to tango by combining tango dancing with live performances and a variety of music.

The specially selected music by the in-house dj will enhance this unique evening by combining a selction of vintage tangos and contemporary world music to offer everyone the chance to dance.
