Pelleas and Melisande

8pm, December 1st, €8/€5, reception to follow.

Written by Maurice Maeterlinck
Directed by Katie O'Kelly and Claire Hughes
Let the chorus carry you on a fairytale journey to the kingdom of Old Allemonde. This enchanted land of ancient castles, shadowy forests and raging seas is alive and breathes, its rivers and waters whispering the call of fate. Prince Goulad’s discovery of a young girl by a spring unleashes a painful tale of obsession and perceptions, desire and death.

Pelleas and Melisande is a fresh and dynamic physical theatre

The ethos of Bah Humbug is to engage the public in visual art and mix together emerging artists with established artists. This event will be an opportunity for visual artists to sell their work and engage in a Christmas salon of music, tea, food and art at accessible prices. This is the first in-house produced platform of La Catedral Studios for visual exchange and engagement in the contemporary art scene.

On the day pianist Alberto Gariglio will accompany the exhibition with his original music played live on the old upright piano of the Back Loft along with selected fusion music on the DJ set.
